My concern since I moved here in 2018, is the unaffordable rent increases. My rent has more than doubled in the last 2 years. My paycheck has not.

I have not seen any politician addressing this issue. Our state has no rent increase cap.

When a land lord tacks on a few hundred dollars a month to the current rent, it not only hurts but adds to the homeless crisis.

I've also seen people evicted so the landlords can charge the next renter more rent. That should be a crime.

New Mexico is not a wealthy state. This kind of actions from greedy landlords needs to be addressed.

My vote will go to the politician that will change the laws to stop price gouging of groceries and ridiculous rental increases.
